Seetru and Schley working together to keep your people and business safe
If pressure levels aren’t right and not controlled properly. You risk damaging equipment, wasting resources, or even shutting down your entire system.
Our partnership with Schley Armaturen means you have access to pressure reducing valves, overflow valves, and pressure regulating valves. All engineered to keep pressure levels stable, protect your team and equipment.
Why are pressure regulating valves important?
Without proper pressure control, even a small imbalance can leave you feeling uneasy and stressed about your equipment’s reliability. The right pressure control valves ensure that liquids, steam and other gases. Can move as they should, helping you feel secure in your business and keeping your team at ease.
How we can help you
Thanks to our partnership with Schley Armaturen. We offer reliable valves that help keep the pressure just where it should be. To minimise the potential of any unwanted surprises and risks. If you’re unsure whether these valves are what you need. Get in touch with us and we’ll help you find the right valve for the job.
Our Schley range of pressure regulating valves
The range of Schley valves we have available thanks to our partnership, are well suited for a range mediums. Some pressure regulating valves have been engineered to deal with corrosive chemicals. While others are more suitable for non-corrosive liquids.
Below are some of the mediums the Schley range covers:
- Water
- Lubrication oil
- Fuel oil
- Heavy fuel oil (HFO)
- Light fuel oil (LFO)
- Marine gasoil (MGO)
- Steam.
What does each type of the pressure regulating valves do?
Let’s go over the three core offerings we have that you can get your hands on thanks to our partnership.
One of those offerings are Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs). Their role is to reduce the inlet pressure to maintain a constant outlet pressure. Even if the inlet pressure fluctuates. It’s used to reduce a higher upstream pressure to a lower, and more desired downstream pressure.
A good example is a water pressure regulator in your home. It’s there to ensure water from the mains doesn’t come in too strong, protecting your plumbing.
What about overflow valves?
First and foremost, overflow valves are more of a safety mechanism to stop pressure from going beyond a safe limit. Usually that’s done by venting excess liquid. The way they do this is by opening and venting liquid when the pressure reaches a predetermined level. This is done to prevent any potential damage from happening to the equipment or the system.
A good way to think of this is pressure cookers. They have safety valves in them, and they vent steam when the pressure inside gets too high. Preventing it from breaking and causing any damage to people and nearby applications.
Finally, we get to the pressure regulating valves. These valves are used to maintain a specific level of pressure. Typically going upstream of the valve, even if there are fluctuations in downstream pressure. They are able to do this as these valves are specifically engineered to sense changes in upstream pressure. So they adjust the valve opening accordingly to maintain the desired pressure.
A good example of this is a fuel supply system on a marine vessel, like a cargo ship. These valves maintain steady fuel pressure to engines. Ensuring there’s consistent performance even when demand changes or supply pressure fluctuates.
Let’s have a look at some of the different pressure regulating valves we offer
Overflow valve
One of our overflow valve offerings is the Schley T27F Overflow Valve. It is perfect for pump circuits, to ensure a constant pressure level. It is a self-operated valve suitable for liquids, gases, and steam. Helping to relieve excess pressure when necessary. Whether you’re dealing with lubrication oil, fuel oil, or water. This valve ensures your equipment stays safe, even in fluctuating conditions.
- Sizes: DN15 to DN200 (1/2″ to 8″)
- Pressure Rating: PN16 to PN40
- Outlet Pressure: 0.5 to 40 bar
- Materials: Stainless steel bellow 1.4571, and options for different alloys
This valve prevents pressure spikes that could damage your system. It does this by safely venting excess pressure.
Pressure regulating valve
We have a great selection of pressure regulating valves thanks to our partnership. One of those is the Schley T7 Pressure Regulating Valve. It’s engineered to keep your system’s pressure consistent. No matter the pressure fluctuations upstream. It’s built to work across a wide range of industries including chemical, and oil & gas.
- Sizes: DN15 (1/2”) to DN200 (8”)
- Pressure Rating: PN16 – PN40
- Outlet Pressure: 0.5 to 40 bar
- Materials: Options include ductile cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, and more
The T7 is compact, precise, and built to handle tough conditions. It helps prevent pressure surges, reducing the risk of equipment damage.
Pressure reducing valve
The T95 is a great example of a Schley pressure reducing valve. It automatically lowers high pressure to a safer, more stable level for liquid and gas systems. This helps protect equipment from excessive pressure. It’s commonly used in chemical, steam, and oil & gas systems.
- Sizes: DN15 to DN40 (½” to 1½”)
- Pressure Rating: PN16 to PN40
- Outlet Pressure: 0.5 to 15 bar
- Material: Bronze
This valve is compact, easy to maintain, and built to last. Whether you’re working with gas, liquids, or steam. The Schley T95 is ideal for providing reliable pressure control.
Why trust Seetru & Schley for your pressure regulating valve needs?
When pressure isn’t controlled, it can put your team at risk and cause serious damage. A sudden failure can cause serious hazards and leave you worrying about what might go wrong next. Through our partnership with Schley Armaturen, we offer flow control valves that keep pressure stable. With pressure reducing, pressure regulating, and overflow valves. You can protect your team, protect your equipment, and focus on your work without constant worry.
